The Dhamek Stupa, a gigantic stone and brick building with a height of 43.6 metres and a diameter of 28 metres, was constructed more than 1500 years ago close to the hamlet of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after reaching enlightenment.

Dashashwamedh Ghat

The main Ghat in Varanasi, where it is said that Lord Brahma received Lord Shiva and performed the Ashwamedha Yagna, is well-known for hosting nighttime Ganga Aartis.
